Zach's Theme Park Blog 5-28-2010

Hello and welcome to Zach’s Theme Park Blog and I’ve got mad news for ya’ll so shut up and read.
Kentucky Kingdom (Louisville, KY) has had a new owner approved. But without Chang who really cares? Story here
Universal Studios Hollywood (Hollywood, CA) has reopened their back lot and accompanying tour after a fire in 2008. I’m currently taking bets on how long till an earthquake damages the famed back lot. Story here
Luna Park (Brooklyn, NY) has opened. Am I the only one curious about how many gang fights occurred during the grand opening? Story here
Six Flags Magic Mountain (Valencia, CA) has delayed the opening of their newly relocated Mr. Six Dance Coaster until 2011. Credit whore who didn’t get to Six Flags New Orleans in time to ride the kiddie coaster have been advised to try and get laid while holding out for it. Story here
Six Flags Great America (Gurnee, IL) is set to open the classic Kiddieland “Little Dipper” this weekend. I’m sorry to have to say this, but if you think that this is awesome. Than you are a nerd (myself included.) Story here
Bell’s Amusement Park (Tulsa, OK) has reached resistance in moving to a new location as the town does not want to help fund the park’s relocation through taxes. The quote from the man leading the movement against the tax described the area as “conservative.” Just saying. Story here
Chang has been confirmed for Six Flags Great America in 2011 as seen in this video
That’s all for today. Thanks for reading Zach’s Theme Park Blog.
